The return of the 21+ Glowga night at Highlands Ranch Southridge Rec Center is at the end of the month. On Saturday January 26, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm come by and experience this unique event. Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite neon yoga clothes and come move to a mellow, rhythmic backlight vinyasa flow set to a unique playlist. The goal of the class is to practice in near darkness which makes your brain more cognizant of your surroundings and pushes your brain to rely on a heightened awareness from senses other than vision to process sensory information in order to stay balanced. This is an allure of the class, especially if you have not yet tried something like this. The neon and the other glow in the dark paint and black light items are just a visual flair to round out the night. This has been a popular event year after year and you may be wondering why it is a 21+ event. That is because the ticket includes one glass of beer or wine for afterwards. The ticket for the evening also gives you glow-paint, necklace and some light appetizers. There will be additional wine and beer available for purchase. ID’s will be checked before hand and it will be mandatory. Tickets are $25 in advance, and $30 at the door if not sold out. This event historically always sells out, so get your ticket early.
