There are plenty of fish in the sea and there are plenty of sales on your lead sheet! Don’t sweat the small stuff! :)

Always try to meet first before any emotions get involved to have a way on one side or the other. That’s what what I say, anyway.

Laura, that is extremely true. With the guy that has been "harrassing" the Realtors in Colorado, it sounds like he was a jerk.
Even if he wasn't dangerous or a liar, we will have a much more productive day is we CHOOSE to let someone else deal with the less desirable fish.
I agree, it is best to try to meet first before actually looking at properties. I hope you have a great day.
Good morning Sondra. Point well made. Sometimes people including agents do stupid things without even thinking about it. On a side note please use a bigger font for those of us with old eyes.

This is a good reminder for all of us that personal safety should always be a priority consideration.

Sondra, it was nice to receive this notice, but again had a bad feeling about sign calls. Had one last week, she sounded normal, but still called a friend to let her know who and where I would be. Always a good idea.
This is a great policy. Sad that realtors have to worry about that but it nonetheless true. Have a great week.

Sondra, that's pretty indepth. Wow. And of course, based on your history it's only fitting. I can usually tell over the phone how I feel about someone. I have never been put in a position of feeling threatened, but I do pay attention (very strongly) to my gut instinct. I am thankfully in a remote community where I know everyone. I show up in my own vehicle and meet them, but have them come in mine so as to give them the chance to sit back and relax. Very VERY rarely have I had that "hinky" feeling.
Good to always be on alert, especially as a single woman out there!
Hello Sondra, On sign calls I would suggest if you never met the buyer to call and have another agent go with you.
Suggesting this for Carol Williams SCS. Good reminder for everyone!!

Hi Sondra Meyer: Being cautious is a good thing. I meet new buyers at the office. I have on ocassion gone to a showing with my husband. There are some crazies out there. I got a crazy caller once that insisted I show him my listing that was ready to close. He was willing to offer $100,000 less and wanted to meet me at the property. The icing was, he gave me a bad review on yelp! We can't be too careful.
Hi Sondra:
I'm so glad Carol featured this post and all the valuable advice and suggestions you have shared! You can't be too careful these days!
Jeff
We've got to be as careful as possible; it's great that you have something written up. Thanks for sharing!
Good afternoon Sondra Meyer: ,
Glad to find your post in Carol Williams Second Chance Saturday series. Its in our best interest to have a showing policy in place and let buyers know how we work. Like your policy you give to prospective clients.
Really scary topic Sondra, but necessary. We are very cautious - in fact, I worry about Bernie too. D
Dear Sondra,
This sounds like a very good policy. Whenever possible, I try to meet in the office first, so we can form a strategy for looking for homes. Often, people want something very different from what they think they do to start.

Hello Dorte. I agree, meeting in the office first to develop a strategy is a great idea - for both the buyer prospects and yourself. It will save a lot of time when looking for homes.
