I take a medication daily. I have been taking this for about ten years and it is part of my routine along with vitamins and calcium. This particular medication was originally prescribed for me in New Jersey. My Dr. here allowed me to continue taking it.
So I was almost out, and there were no refills allowed. I called my Dr.'s office and the pharmacy indicated that it was ready. When I inquired as to the number of pills I was told there were 30. I was unhappy and called the Dr.'s office back only to be told it was the office policy not to prescribe or renew medication unless an annual exam had happened. I had an appointment scheduled but it was for February. Eventually they changed the amount in the prescription and I went to pick it up.
Guess what? The price for 30 tablets was exactly the same as it was for 90. I was and am really taken back by this. I knew there would be a differential for getting a smaller quantity, but this was incredible.
Imagine if this were true in other areas. Would you like one avocado or a dozen....same price. You only want one car? Today we have a two for one sale.....Talk about wasteful.
