Do you remember the day you joined ActiveRain? Was it at a Rain Camp or a class? I truly cannot remember where I was when I signed up in 2007. I know the first AWFUL blog post came in April 2008, and until the last couple of years never knew there were Community Guidelines.
It is nice to read through them to be sure you are not violating the guidelines. I think the part I like best is, the guidelines protect your content we work hard to deliver to our readers. I like that the community is to stay civil and respect others - that is HUGE. Not to say you don't see a "snarky" comment on occasion.
The community guidelines are set up to build a blogging platform where the public has the opportunity to gain knowledge from all the members that are sharing their wealth of knowledge in our area of expertise.
If you choose to participate, you can enjoy interaction here in the RAIN. You can make wonderful friendships and learn about many other industry related tools to use in your daily business. A community that helps one another! If you need help with a new fangled program, someone here in the RAIN will know about it, and will share. Ask that question in the Q & A. You can stay up-to-date on lending regulations, inspection issues and staging trends. All this for a couple hours a day!
