Making Excuses

Making Time

Pondering Making Time Making Excuses

They say they know. Whoever they might be.

Time is money.  Right?   But it's also a lot more than that too.

Nothing to slight money from this scenario.  But there are other considerations.

Different priorities.  And differing ones too.   It's a matter of making excuses versus msking time.  Hmm.  Well, we can certainly make excuses.

Making excuses.  It's not a habit I want to perfect even if I had the attitude or the aptitude.

Making time?  Maybe we can manage it but making it?  I don't know.

So what's a guy to do?  Ponder.  Of course. I mean...when in doubt...I ponder, right?  And what have others said about making excuses...here's one example:

He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else

                                                       Benjamin Franklin

and a quote about making time:

A man who dares to waste one hour of time

has not discovered the value of life

                                                 Charles Darwin

Making Excuses. Making Time.  Now is the issue resolved? A question answered?   Absolutely NOT. That's no how pondering works.  Not necessarily.  Solutions are found and issues are resolved.  Sometimes true.  But not always.  Meanwhile, I will ponder.  Maybe you can too.

On this or any subject.

We can't make time; time just is. We can just figure out how we want to use it. We can certainly waste time by doing things that aren't important in the grand scheme of our life. But on the other hand, sometimes wasting time by doing unimportant things is actually quite important. I ponder as well.

Hi Michael, I'll comment with this quote:  “Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.” Harvey Mackay

Good morning Michael Jacobs,

OMG what fabulous quotes to ponder. The one Gabe Sanders brought up “Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.” Harvey Mackay  is one of my favorites.

I have always believed that time is the most important commodity.  We are only granted so much of it in a lifetime.  And, when it is wasted, we can't get it back!

Well, I have never had a lot of money, so I can't judge if I would be happier with it or not.  I do feel that I am pretty happy in life and don't feel that I need money to make me happier.

Michael Jacobs the quote Gabe Sanders shared really hits home with me. Using our time wisely (whatever that means to each one of us) is important. I'm working on being better about that.

Well I've never been rich, at least not in a monetary way. But I have been struggling with debt and I have been "doing pretty well" and I'll take having it over not having it. Pretty much the same with time...I would prefer to have it!

We may not be able to make time, but we can find time if we are motivated enough to do so.

Michael,

I have found that many use time as an excuse when they don't want to get together or do something.  (I have done that, every now and then).  I even have done that when I prefer to do something else rather than vacuum or clean up...

With that being said, I have lots of time to spare for ideas and people who have something to say an contribute...Choice plays a big role.  A

Hi Michael Jacobs, I'm really good at making excuses for things I don't enjoy or places I don't want to be at..not sure if that will change. Now is all we have so we must use it wisely, do whatever makes us happy and of course productive whatever that means to each individual.

These lyrics from an Eagles song come to mind for some reason. " You can spend all your time making money, you can spend all your love making time."  It's all about priorities and choices...but, if we are using excuses repeatedly to avoid doing something, there may be an underlying issue worth investigating.
