This Isn't The First Time A Man Named Trump Claimed A Wall Can Save Lives

I came across this video on facebook of an old tv western. I found it so freaky and so unbelievable, I just had to share.

I've done the homework and it is real...

Season 1, Episode 30 of a 1950's show called Trackdown, starring Robert Culp.

This episode is called "The End of The World."

It aired on CBS in 1958.

"Hoby (Robert Culp) has to deal with a snake oil salesman selling the end of the world to a town filled with gullible people."

Here is the freaky part...

The snake oil salesman's name is Trump. He shows up in town warning that the world will end at midnight.

He claims that he is the only one who can save them from certain death...

by building a wall.

Here is the full episode. It is 22 minutes long.

Another interesting part of this....

What? Based on real life?  Too funny!

It's feeling more like an episode of Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits to me.

I'm not looking to start a political debate, so please don't go there.

I just want to know if you find this as interesting as I do.

Sheila Anderson  Didn't mean to make you sad....the episode is quite funny in my opinion.

Hannah Williams  I understand, but the video isn't at all political. It's the full episode of the show. Amazing to me that it was written so long ago and yet...here we are today. I actually want to see if I can find the other episodes and binge watch at some point. I always liked old westerns and enjoy Robert Culp.

It is indeed interesting. I think I remember other things from years ago being connected in some way to our current day world.  Spooky.

It seems there are way to many scary things happening in the world today, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the end of the world is near.  I would much rather the world become a better place to live, but even people aren't trustworthy, kind or caring anymore.  Of course, I don't mean everyone, I have many trustworthy, kind and caring people in my life, but as I observe others that I don't even know, I am not seeing it.

John Pusa  I hope you do watch it. It's so hard to believe it was written so long ago.

Brian England  It is frightening, but we must remind ourselves that all previous generations lived in fear of some form too. Hopefully we find a way to fix our current madness...find a way to work together instead of being so divided.

Like you, I am lucky to have love and kindness in my life, but witness far too much hatred and anger in the world.

I found the episode of this show to be pretty entertaining. If not for our current political situation I would have thought it all too far fetched. The fact it's actually reality is beyond belief.

All I can say is, "you're brave." Lol. I get what your point is though. That does have a twilight zone feel about it. Seriously, weird and surreal...just like our political situation.

These are such interesting times we are dwelling in.  Here's a Youtube video that shows Trump giving a commencement address in 2004.  In it he is imploring graduates to breach the wall: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ID2bU7sAJA&fbclid=IwAR1FkKiQSJytQymHKHZ2HPOkkzzk5mVtWGiGRdfrB8qKlxZ-_OO59WjMlXQ

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD  Thank you. It's not like it's a SNL skit I'm sharing. The fact that it's from so long ago is just too weird. I'm glad you get that.

It does seem like SNL wrote this last week, though. LOL

Myrl Jeffcoat  There are so many videos out there showing him (and politicians from both sides) saying one thing one year and then the opposite more recently. They are all out for their own (and their party's) best interests...certainly not what is best for the country.

Are you still vacationing in Georgia??
