Tiny Steps to Make BIG LEAPS !!!
The “new improved” theory of making resolutions is to take the goals for change in “tiny bites” rather than BIG MOUTHFULS which are hard to swallow…and may require a lot of ambition at one time.
A resolution of any size requires a change in an old habit. A popular resolution is weight loss…while you may want/need to lose a double digit number of pounds…break it down to a weekly goal. One pound is easier to lose than 10 at a time.
What is it that triggers your habit ? Are the portions you are eating SUPER sized ? Are you eating between meals ? Are you not mindful of WHAT you eat ? A cookie here or there instead of an extra 8 oz. of water …hmmm ?
Identify the trigger .. i.e. boredom…and the behavior…unhealthy/mega calorie snacks…and substitute a new behavior when you realize the trigger.
Compliment the drive for a new behavior with a picture…the strongest are those you actually look at it every day on a Vision Board of your goals. A lighter weight visual is one you choose in quiet mediation. Tap the power of your subconscious…see your goal as accomplished. Repeat the “mantra” of your goal several times a day…i.e. “I weigh x pounds by x date.” Do not use the future tense in your “magic words”…Not “I Will weigh…” your subconscious mind will see it as a future goal not to be accomplished in the present.
You can RECEIVE what you can CONCEIVE. And so it is right now…BELIEVE IT to RECEIVE IT.
