The Lee County Florida Homestead Exemption ends March 1, 2019. If you purchased or moved into a new primary residence in 2018 you have until March 1 to file for the special tax breaks available for full-time residents.

Please note that if you already have the homestead exemption you do not have to reapply - it will renew automatically. Veterans, widows and widowers are eligible for some additional discounts in addition to the standard homestead exemption.

If any of these apply make sure to see if you qualify for these discounts as well. For more information you can visit www.leepa.org or contact the Lee County Property Appraiser's office at 239-553-6100.

  • Homestead exemption reminder: Apply for this before March 1st 2019 to get credit in November 2019. The Homestead Exemption allows for $50,000 off of the assessed value of home.
There are other exemptions available, visit the Lee County Property Appraisers website to see if you qualify for any.
