Vacation, loss of brains and archaic computers OH MY!

As excited I am about being in the Makeover2Takeover contest, I must admit the timing in not in my favor.

Ready to help my super-star apprentice, Chelsea Miller, I also had a vacation scheduled.  Being the good REALTOR and Mentor that I am I wasn't worried... I brought my laptop.

But wait... what is missing... THE POWER CORD!!!!!  Not just any run of the mill powercord, but an Apple power cord.  Oh and by the way when the universal cord that says 99% of laptops on the market supported- mine is in the 1%!

Not a problem, right??!!  The ship has computers and at 75 cents per minute the slow speed is enough to make you want to jump off the ship and swim to the nearest library.  And, now I am at my parents- who I am proud to say have the first prototype computer... and it works "great."

So after a huge sigh of relief for having our assignments completed and turned in as well as my mentee still sticking with me.  I must admit I am glad I will be home ready to work in the same room as Chelsea on some modern equipment...  other teams better watch out.  :)

Dawn,

Good luck to your team on your submission!  I think that we all had a tough time with this one.

I am a native Phoenician and planned on coming home at the end of this month to visit my family and friends.  Doesn't look like I will be able to make it until the contest is over.

I hope that you did have some fun on your vacation!

Woo Hoo, Dawn - way to keep that positive attitude "floating".  Can't wait to see what you and Chelsea do next - Calie
