Just SOLD on Calm Sunset in the Snowden Ridge subdivision in Columbia, MD!
Columbia, MD is known for its interesting (albeit quirky at times) street names and this one is no exception. Who wouldn't want to come home to (a) Calm Sunset every day? As fun as the name is, it was all about the location for the new owner of the 3-level townhome.
The Snowden Ridge subdivision in the Columbia Village of Owen Brown sits right off Snowden River Parkway and is just minutes away from Routes 32 and 175. The Snowden Square Shopping Center with its shops (HomeDepot, BJs, HomeGoods, Staples, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Michael's...) and restaurants is literally across the street and so is the United Artists movie theater. Wegman's, SoccerStop, Launch, Starbucks, Aldi ... many, many more stores, restaurants, entertainment and recreational options are within close proximity (LifeTime Fitness is practically around the corner)!
My (very happy) buyer didn't only get a great location but a great townhouse with hardwood floors, crown molding, finished basement, deck, new HVAC... at a great price as well. At $328,000 the negotiated sales price was a few thousand below list price as well as the appraised value of the property.
The Snowden Ridge subdivision is a townhome community in the Village of Owen Brown that was built in the mid-1990s. Homes are approx 2,000 square feet, with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths upstairs, with the majority having finished basements and some come with a 1-car garage. Parking is assigned, there is a tot lot in the community, and the HOA dues are $100/quarter (in addition to the Columbia Association dues).
