The 25th Flora Bama Annual Super Chili Bowl Cook Off
Yay, another World Famous Flora Bama Event is happening! The Annual Super Chili Bowl Cook off is on February 2nd, 2019 in the Flora Bama Tent. This event is yummy! Getting to come to the Flora Bama to sample chili, visit the gorgeous Florida Alabama white sandy beaches, and see who wins the Best Decorated Booth contest?! Sounds like a good way to start February! My favorite part about this event ( well, besides sampling the BEST chili ) is it's a fundraiser for the Relay For Life and The American Cancer Society.
The prices are $20.00 all inclusive ticket = unlimited chili samples , 1 draft PBR / Bottled Water, 1 people's choice ticket and $1.00 for each additional people choice ticket. All the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
Some of the rules and information are :
- 3 person teams is $25.00
- You have to have a minimum of 5 gallons of chili to ensure you have enough for samples and judging.
- Team brings all cooking supplies, they will supply tables, napkins, bowls, spoons and crackers
- Set up is 8am - 10am
- 10am Cooking begins and opens to the public
- 12pm Samples and judging begins
- You can prep you items but nothing can be pre-cooked. They will check items and expiration dates
- You must be 21+ to enter
- You cook it, you gotta eat it
