Far From Tidy

South Orange Grove Boulevard in Pasadena 91105

Far From Tidy. Littering is not a good sign in my opinion.  Definitely not a good sign.  Recently I came across an advertisement from a home cleaning service.  Not the right message.

Recently, the single post card-sized "help available" ad was tossed on some lawns. Others were seen throughout the neighborhood.  I have seen the fairly attractive menu in different neighborhoods over the years.  This is the first time I recall seeing this particular distribution.   An effective message?  Not exactly.  Tidy as the name of the service?

Memorable?  Hlmm...not broom clean for sure and not memorable for any of the right reasons.  Remembering the name as the advertisement made its way to the recycling container? Yeah, right. So I pondered.

Morning Michael.

My wife and I in the past cleaned rentals.  Some said they were obsessed with their place being clean, just to leave it in such a condition that a dog wouldn't be comfortable.  I guess it's all in perception

Well, James Dray , I don't know exactly what to say:  some landlords think some of their tenants live like dogs or maybe they aspire to a dog's life. Perspective brings up many issues, many questions.

I don't like seeing that either and it is one of the reasons that I stopped having postcards and such put on people's doors.  I hate doing things that I don't like having done to me, haha.

Michael,

I recognize the location of the picture.  Was the help available to clean the lawns? I hate the door hanging pizza and other fast food promos, they do end up in the recycle bin ASAP,  I even pick them off my neighbors doors who live in LA and are here every so often...A

Hi Michael,
A very poor marketing strategy in my opinion.

And strategy was likely not the directive given and definitely wasn't a part of the received message to those delivering the advertisement Carol Williams

Quite ironic. We don't use paper flyers at our listings for this reason...they can get tossed out and blown around. Not good marketing for real estate pros who say they love the environment. ;)

I was looking for "printed on recycled paper" on the advertisement.  Just for the sake of irony.  Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD
