There is no reason for this blog.

I was sitting watching some mindless TV show.

Going through some old pictures on my computer.

I was deleting some long ago photo's I know do not mean a thing anymore.

but in doing so I ran across this one,

This is a picture of my dad. It was our first deer hunting day after he had a stroke.

We didn't get anything but some great memories.

This is a photo I will keep forever

Dear William,

What a precious memory! A day well-spent never returns poorly, despite nothing bagged.

Great photo and I can appreciate your love for your dad sharing a good deer hunt, be you two talked and laughed and scared away the deer. Thanks for sharing.

I can understand why that photo would have special meaning for you, William.  My dad died in 1966 and my mother in 1975.  I hang on to any pictures of them with everything I've got.

One of my sisters recently brought over some old pictures that had belonged to a deceased aunt. My sister had never seen our grandmother and did not recognize her or some other family members.

I am in the process of getting all the old family photos digitized for my brother and sister and some cousins. I hope the later generations will also appreciate the history.
