Watch a Hockey Game

Who would have known that Boise is a big hockey community, right?! Now I have been to a few hockey games at Century Link over the years, but I have never written and documented my experience there, so this time, I paid much closer attention to everything than in the past.

Checking out a Hockey game, grabbing some food, drinks and supporting the Idaho Steelheads is a great way to spend a Saturday night in Boise. I also have to say how nice Century Link is inside since the last time I was there, along with a great atmosphere including all the fans having a good time. The venue of just over 5,000 (at full capacity) is solid – though trying to buy something on the jammed-up concourse is a bit of a pain in between periods, so consider getting up a few minutes before the period ends to beat the rush.

I have been to several basketball games in the building over the past few years, and even though I’m more of a basketball fan than a hockey fan, I have to say that the facility is much better suited for watching people shoot pucks and commit crosschecking penalties, as opposed to shooting 3-pointers and dunking on each other.

About Me:

I have been living in Idaho for nearly my entire life, and Treasure Valley has been my home for more than 30 years. In addition to constantly exploring the city with all of its activities, I am also very involved in the local philanthropy scene, and have been working in the Mortgage industry as a Loan Officer for more than 35 years now. Additionally, my husband Michael had a 20+ year career in Real Estate. So if you are new to the area and looking to lay down some roots for your family, get involved with some great causes, connect with like-minded people or just explore all that Boise has to offer – please don’t hesitate to let me know!
