3 Easy Valentine's Day Sweet Treats

By
Industry Observer

With Valentine's Day approaching, I often like to make something sweet for the sweethearts in my family.  Feeding people is one of my love languages, so I love celebrating special occasions with special treats.

However, I don't have a lot of extra time to spend in the kitchen making those special treats.

That's why I love making fun but easy desserts that can be enjoyed around the holidays.  Making something festive is just one of the ways I enjoy showing my family that they are special to me.

Today I'm sharing 3 of my favorite easy sweet treats that don't require a lot of time or effort!

1. Red Velvet Bundt Cake in the Instant Pot

Did you even know you can make a bundt cake in the Instant Pot?  The first time I made this cake, my husband said, "Is there anything you can't make in the Instant Pot?" Ha!

Really, this bundt cake is so easy.  You don't have to worry about over-baking the cake and it getting dried out.  It comes out moist and fluffy and absolutely perfect. Of course, if you don't have an Instant Pot, you can make this delicious cake in the oven as well.

I keep this cake simple by starting with a box of cake mix.  It gets topped with a drizzle of cream cheese frosting, making a decadent and beautiful dessert that's perfect for Valentine's day!

2. Valentine's Snack Mix

I'm sure you've probably had Muddy Buddies (or I've heard it sometimes called Puppy Chow) before--the sweet snack mix made with Chex cereal, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and powdered sugar.

For Valentine's Day, I like to make a variation of that mix that uses white chocolate chips instead of regular chocolate chips, then I add in some Valentine's M&M's for a pop of festive color.

This snack mix also makes a great treat for filling Valentine's Day goodie bags, too!

3. Red Velvet Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

Ooey gooey butter cake bars will always remind me of church potluck dinners, because they almost always graced the dessert table, and for good reason. They're a crowd-pleasing dessert, and this red velvet variation is perfect for Valentine's Day!

These bars are incredibly easy to make, as you only need 5 ingredients.  A red velvet cake mix, some butter, eggs, cream cheese, and powdered sugar--you probably already have most of those ingredients on hand!

I love how the cake-like red velvet crust is topped with a sweet and gooey cream cheese filling, creating rich and decadent dessert bars.

With these simple and easy recipes, you'll be able to celebrate Valentine's Day with a sweet treat your family will love without spending all day in the kitchen!
