How to create a differentiation strategy to break down the walls
In this interview with Run DMC & Aerosmith, they talk about the importance of using a differentiation strategy
Aerosmith: You can’t be afraid to be yourself and dream on. If your marketing plan is like a rock in a hard place and you wish you could go on a permanent vacation, then you should get a grip, get back in the saddle and PUMP up your marketing with some sweet emotion! To reach your target market, you MUST market YOU and let people know who you are and where you draw the line. You can’t be afraid to put yourself out there and avoid the same old song and dance. Because, if you don’t tell people who you are and what your magic touch is, then no one is going to do it for you, sunshine. You must think ahead, figure out what it takes to get your next buyer or seller and give that to them. Learn what a differentiation strategy is and get some big ones with your marketing message. The transformation in your business will be amazing!
Run-DMC: When you are putting together your marketing plan for the year, it’s tricky to set yourself apart from the competition. What it’s all about is raising hell and being tougher than leather with your message. If you are tired of constant hard times, then it is probably because your marketing message sounds more like a tired old song than one that would make you the king of rock in your industry. This can also happen if you talk too much, but really don’t say much with your message. I don’t know about you, but I’m not going out like that. If your competition says walk this way, then you walk the other because copying everyone else’s marketing message ain’t down with the king of rap! If you aren’t happy with your current income, then the only way back from hell is to pause and think about what it is that makes people say “Ohh, whatcha gonna do” and then show them! It’s like that! Treat your marketing like your own personal rock show and show people why you are different than every other option available to them!
I will tell you that it was crazy awesome talking to these two legendary bands, but they did point out that there is one single factor that can make or break your business this year.
Yup, here it comes… Both Aerosmith and Run DMC said YOU need professional expertise. You already know the value that a real estate professional adds to the transaction. You also already know that homeowners that sell “by owner” are at a disadvantage. So, then why on earth would you attempt marketing your business on your own.
What If I Told You That you could have an Annual Marketing Strategy, Full Marketing Automation, Behavior-Based Email and a CRM for LESS than what others charge for just ONE service? What if that automation came with one-on-one consulting every month to keep you on track? Would it help you keep your marketing plan moving forward? Keep your eyes focused on the revenue? I will bet you answered YES because, let’s face it… you are NOT in this for the desk hours.
