How smart email marketing tactics can be applied to the real estate world

 

 

Ann Lennox: In the garden of competitive marketing tactics, there is not much peace when it comes to email marketing. What some call a “touch”, others call spam and it is becoming more difficult to use email marketing in a markting strategy. Back in 1984, this wouldn’t have been a problem in marketing because email wasn’t that popular yet. But, here we are in 2019 and the walk is much different. Beethoven didn’t need email to gain popularity. When tomorrow comes, it would be a shame if we lost this vital marketing channel because of the savage abuse of email permissions. Would I lie to you? No. Look, it's alright to reach out to people that asked you to contact them, but when you write an email and people are like “who’s that girl?” then you are going to get spam complaints. You better never gonna cry again, because I am warning you now. I am right by your side with this, but you can’t just buy lists and send emails. It’s a shame that people think they can do this and not get flagged for spam. Look, sisters are doing it for themselves and know that it’s almost like a sexcrime to send unsolicited email. I have two friends, let’s call them Belinda and Julia, that think there must be an angel above, because their main marketing “strategy” is bombing people with spam. It’s a thorn in my side that they think a touch dance like that is going anywhere. I tell them all the time that you have placed a chill in my heart if you think this is smart marketing, but the miracle of love keeps us friends. Anyway, power to the meek, but spam is a bad strategy. I got a life, and I am sure that you do too, so let’s make this a brand new day and stop using spam. It might just be sweet dreams that I am having, but we too are one and I now know that better email marketing can be applied to the real estate world without spam. If you feel differently then it is my strong advice that you look at a revival of your email marketing in the right way!

Yup, here it comes… Ann Lenox said YOU need professional expertise. You already know the value that a real estate professional adds to the transaction.
