Hi Nina: Looks like the Ballantyne Country Club area is the place to be. More higher end sales there.

I find it interesting how some buyers in Sacramento will spend a million for a home and never check out the prices of other homes nearby. Often it's a custom home and so they assume it is a custom home neighborhood when it might be a white elephant.

Elizabeth Weintraub Sacramento Real Estate Agent, Top 1% of Lyon Agents hi Elizabeth... Ballantyne area "grew up" around the Ballantyne Corporate Park and the Ballantyne Country Club. When we were first looking for a home in Charlotte in 1988, I could have built a home there for about $400K. But at that point Ballantyne was still a "risky" proposition as there wasn't anything here. While all the homes are custom built, it's a mix of very expensive homes and homes that aren't selling at a premium because they need a total makeover after 20+ years.  Personally, I prefer both Providence Country Club and Piper Glen Country Club to Ballantyne.
