13 Hot Neighborhoods To Watch In Charlotte's Waxhaw Area
Charlotte metro area's Waxhaw/Weddington/Marvin areas remained hot in 2018, especially luxury homes. 13 neighborhoods in the Waxhaw area were particularly hot in 2018 and are worth watching in 2018 for continued demand. Seven neighborhoods were hot neighborhoods last year -- Millbridge, Lawson, Cureton, Hunter Oaks, Providence Downs, Tuscany, Wesley Oaks. Six new neighborhoods made the 2018 hot neighborhoods list -- Inverness on Providence, Greenbrier, The Courtyards at Wesley Chapel, Longview, Stonegate, The Falls at Weddington. With the exception of Stonegate, these six were all predominantly new construction neighborhoods.
Excellent schools, lower property taxes, communities with resort-style amenities, historic downtown Waxhaw all contibuted to the high demand for Waxhaw area homes. Demand for Waxhaw area homes helps make Union County the fastest growing county in North Carolina, as well.
MILLBRIDGE
Millbridge remains the #1 selling neighborhood in the Waxhaw area with 217 homes sold in 2018 (up from 165 in 2017) at an average sale price of $361,110. There's still plenty of new construction happening in Millbridge, as well.

Lawson has also remained a much favored Waxhaw community amongst home buyers. 112 homes sold in Lawson during 2018 at an average sale price of $433,431. Most of the new construction in Lawson is now nearing completion.
