Glad I have my wood boiler

It is turning cold here in Minnesota.

Some of the coldest temps in many years.

Even with Propane at a low price I am still saving

over $1000 a month.

Yes, I spend a lot of time in the woods, but I don't need

to spend money on a health club!

Bring on the cold!

William Feela - do you have a log splitter or do you use a maul and wedges? That picture showed a lot of wood to split!

I was wondering the same as Suzanne Strickler - do you split that all yourself with an axe?

We have a wood stove and it's great for keeping the living room/dining room/kitchen/and two of the bedrooms warm. My husband cuts/splits our firewood. If I had to do it, I'd get a log splitter.

Good morning William. A big job to get those logs. A bigger job to split them all. You and Paul Bunyan eat breakfast together? Enjoy your day

Good morning William.  I had a wood stove back when I lived in Massachusettes.  It pretty much heated my entire home and I used to cut and split my own wood.  I loved the exercise, except when the wood was too wet.

There not many wood stoves in our urban area. Firewood is expensive to purchase.

Keep warm and have an outstanding week. We expect to have some snow this afternoon in Maryland.

Wow Williams,  I have logs to split to give me a work out but not that wide.   I split on days over 50's and it good to have a fire.

Looks like you've got plenty of fuel at the ready to weather the cold William. Knowing how much money you're saving should keep you extra warm while using your wood boiler.

While I don't have a wood boiler I do have a free standing stove that I use at night to save on gas
