What a difference a year makes! At the beginning of 2017 when I got serious about blogging about Real Estate Marketing and Real Estate SEO I had no idea where the journey would take me.
One of the first stops was Active Rain. Originally I thought I would use this platform mainly as a Back Link generator. If you don't know what a backlink is I encourage you to read and watch InboundREMS post on real estate SEO.
To my surprise, Active Rain has been so much more than that. I have met valuable industry titans through my blog. Joe Manausa Tallahassee's mega-agent and Robert Prince the primary developer currently working on the Active Rain platform just to name a couple.
Most importantly through following other Rainers blogs as well as taking real estate professionals calls I have stayed dialed into the burning questions that real estate agents and brokers have about real estate marketing and real estate lead generation.
When I incorporated my real estate marketing business in the middle of 2017 I already knew I was going to focus on INBOUND MARKETING principles more so than SEO.
In laymen's terms, this simply means I was going to focus on high-quality content. Answer questions I was uniquely qualified to address and only after I had done that would I then worry about optimizing that content to be found on search engines.
In my wildest dreams, I never thought about getting recognized by other industry digital marketers. If I did think about it I assumed it would be many many years of hard work before anyone would "discover" my blog or YouTube channel and take the time to recognize I was digging deeper and going the extra mile on my reviews and tutorials.
So it's with a little bit of amazement and a great deal of humility that I announce that feed spot (A data aggregator that collects posts from all of your favorite blog and puts them into one spot for you) voted InboundREMS YouTube channel number 5 in the world. Right under Industry titans like Neil Patel, Hubspot and the Social Media Examiner. I didn't think I would be phased if something like this ever DID happen. But I was wrong.
45000 views and counting. 500 subscribers. 18 months of hard work and responding to comments good or bad regardless of where you are or what you are doing.
But I do owe a lot of that success to Active Rain and my followers here. I don't have many but I have spoken directly to about 1/2 of you. If you haven't yet checked out my YouTube channel, and you would like to here --->>> is THE LINK <<
Active Rain has been a valuable addition to my marketing arsenal and an important influence in the way I serve my clients (real estate agents and brokers).
