"There are moments when all anxiety and stated toil
are becalmed in the infinite leisure and repose of nature"
Henry David Thoreau
DAFFODILS: They are sprouting from the ground at my listing in Flower Mound!
TULIPS: Will follow the daffodils.
GREEN-WINGED INSECTS INSECTS: One was crawling on my windshield yesterday!
CONCERT: A Robin Gathering and Songbird concert took place this morning outside my Office window!
WOODY WOODPECKER: The redhead was pecking next door!
Signs of spring are lovely to see, hear, taste and smell. I had fresh oranges for breakfast this morning and the sun shines down on me. Having five senses is a gift often taken for granted. Our ears are an important listening device and even though the birds outside my window are untouchable, whether they are audible or not, I can feel them! Our senses are more valuable than we realize and missed when it isn't there. I don't really know for sure if spring has officially arrived in Flower Mound, TX for good, or are they just escaping the Northern winds and freezing temperatures, but I am greeting them, will feed them, and appreciate them for those who can't.
Nature is autonomous and outside of the scope of human settings. We cannot control the weather! The ground is blessed by sun and rain and even though winter weather can be a pain, it is a wonder with ice sculptures. Taking careless changes on ice is not nice but on a pair of ice skates or a sled can be fun! Always look at the good!
