This time, it only took me 1 month!
So in middle of December, I launched my ebook. It was on Off page SEO. It took me 2 months...plus 2 years of gathering the courage to even attempt it.
I was really nervous about what other bloggers would think about it, but it was a huge success. I did this launch with affiliate partners, because my target audience is coming to my site for home decor advice, not blogging or SEO advice. So, I selected a few affiliate partners that blog about blogging as they have the right audience.
The feedback was absolutely amazing, and the revenue for the book (betw 12/13 and 1/31) was a bit over $9,500. Now I don't get to keep that all (due to affiliate commissions and paypal fees), but I probably netted a bit over 60% of that.
I used SendOwl as my payment processor. Of course, I got a little confused on the tech part of it, so that delayed the launch a couple of days. I also learned afterwards about this VAT thing, that you're supposed to do for the EU. Honestly, the whole thing look so complicated and easy to make a mistake on that I had to block the EU. I couldn't deal with headache. Live and learn.
So, today, I launched ebook #2 aboue Easy On-Page Optimization. This is really a beginner's and intermediate's guide.
This time, I got better...and better at scheduling/prioritizing my work schedule. I started it on Jan 2nd and finished at midnight Jan 31st. And, I only had minor tech challenges on this, so much faster.
This book is less expensive, so I'm expecting sales to be lower. But, so far so good and the revenue is around $850. The feedback and reviews have been amazing, too...even from people who already know SEO.
The book is on sale through the end of the month.
After that, I'm going to try some additional marketing strategies and we'll see how they go.
Oh, and if you want to check it out, you can find the new ebook here.
