It will be one of the largest snowfalls for this year,
although 12 inch snowfalls is not unusual.
The stores have been busy with people stocking up
on the essentials.
Milk, Bread, water, BEER!
It won't be a storm to paralyze but a good trial run for something worse.

Tom Bailey You, good sir, just got me chuckling. I've got a good friend on Hilton Head (South, I know) and I've spent quality time on Kiawah and Charleston (South again, I know). I've got to find a reason to go North.

Sounds like just a dusting... William Feela ... this was a storm video from 11 years ago. It is amazing how fast roads get plowed and life returns to normal when you get lots of snow to manage.

William Feela At least people know how to drive in snow where you are. I heard a radio report this morning that yesterday or the day before, in the three counties most affected by our storm ( 2 - 12 inches depending on where you were) there were over 1,000 car accidents in the one day. I grant snow is rare here, and I grant that many people here may be from areas where they've never seen snow. BUT there was a lot of BAD DRIVING too.

Stay safe, William. All I can say is I'm happy I don't live where I even have to think about these kinds of conditions. And since I don't eat bread or drink milk or beer that's a good thing!

We got 2 inches of snow yesterday and they delayed schools last night for 2 hours.
WEll, I have about 2 inches above what they thought my max may be. But, hav e not heard of any issues anywhere.
It's a whole different way of life Up North! This native Texan doesn't like driving in the snow and ice. :)
