Faces in Strange Places

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Referral Group Incorporated

I am not an artist but would love to be. I often see faces in strange places. I see faces in trees, in carpets with patterns in the sky and occasionally in my dreams. Sometimes I think I can create them in pictures by drawing what I see but it never works for me. Artists have visions too but they also have the talent I lack so I guess I will stick with my camera.

Sooo cute, Sheila. I have several artists in my family and all I can say is I'm in awe of them... I have no talent but like yourself I wish I did sometimes.

Like you, I can see faces and shapes out of abstract patterns in a lot of different places.  But taking something and getting it from my mind to a medium, well, that's not my strong suit.

I'm not good at drawing or painting either, Sheila.  And, I often see faces.  I remember a trip driving on the highway next to the Pacific Coast Range here in California.  I was with a friend, and his 6 year old grandson.  I was seeing faces including those of Native American Indians emerge from the hills.  I didn't say a word because I didn't want my friend to think I was crazy.  Then all of a sudden, the little grandson said, "Do you see those faces on the rocks, grampa?"  I was so happy to know someone was sharing my visions that I nearly knocked the roof off the car in delight!

Myrl has a face in the tree in her yard. Well, maybe she helped it along a little bit.

I have no talent to draw or paint anything. I'm lucky I can coordinate clothing to dress myself.

How cute Sheila. Our dog Duke always has to have one of his furry toys in his mouth too. However, his toys are a bit larger so he has a hard time seeing past it when he's walking around the house. Very entertaining for the rest of us though

Sheila,

We all have an artist's eye in us.  It just manifests in different mediums.  I love that sweet face with the pink toy!  That is artistry.  A

Hi Debe. Finn seldom has a toy in his mouth. He is only interested when new toys are given to all of them and he wants them all.      TY      Sheila

It's great fun to be observant like you are, Sheila. I find things in the clouds all the time. I tend to look for dragons there because one of my sisters loves them and voila... I find them! Sort of like your statement about looking for positivity instead of negativity. I think if we approach the world with a desire to find the creative, we find it indeed. As for your artistic abilities.... who says a camera doesn't count as a creative tool!  You capture the faces so, my dear, I believe you are an artist!

Morning Sheila.

I have a difficult time drawing a stick figure.  I just don't understand how artists do what they do, but I am glad they can

Hi Sheila,
I totally relate to this!  I also see faces in "things" including the clouds, landscape, tree trunks and other places. I even see images when I close my eyes at night.   I ask my brother if he does too.  He does not.  I have often wished I could draw things. So much so that I decided to teach myself to draw and pint.  I learned enough to know I could learn but it takes a lot of time if you don't have that natural talent. I was't willing to spend the time honing that skill.  I have other things I want to do in life. I do admire those who have artisitic talents.
