Wanderlust: "A strong desire or urge to travel and explore the world."
As most of you who Follow me know, I've been in Arizona for a few weeks staying with my sister-in-law, playing some golf and meeting up with some of my favorite Rainer peeps.
Since my SIL doesn't have regular TV, we've been watching the programs available through her Amazon Prime account and a few Netflix movies. She also enjoys watching church talks on YouTube.
Sunday morning we discovered another YouTube channel that we both enjoyed... Touropia. It started when she found the 10 Best Places to Visit in Arizona on the Touropia Channel. The picture above is one I took in beautiful Sedona a few year back. Sedona, of course, is one of the featured must visit places in Arizona. Anyway, we watched the Arizona video, which then went to 10 Best Places to Visit in Oregon (where I grew up), then Israel, Australia, New Zealand and Austria... all places I've been and some of where Connie has been. It was a fun blast from the past. They are each less than 15 minutes and a wonderful overview of an area, state or country.
My SIL and I have both done a lot of traveling. She traveled mostly via cruising. I traveled mostly via land. I am fortunate to still be able to do more traveling. She is not, and often laments and gets somewhat depressed about the fact she can no longer travel. I think Touropia has been a marvelous find for her. She can revisit places she has been and go to places she wishes she could.
If there is a place you are considering visiting, just curious about, or know someone who enjoys traveling, I highly recommend checking out the Touropia Channel on YouTube.
Below is the 10 Best Places To Visit in Arizona video we watched Sunday morning.

Hi James Dray
Where are your next adventures going to take you and your wife? Do you know yet? Coming to the Northwest?

Hi Kat Palmiotti
If you have a smart TV, it's just like watching a short travel documentary.

Hi Nina Hollander
If you have a smart TV, which I'm sure you do, it's just like watching a travel documentary on the big screen. It's a great way to travel for those of us, like you and me, who have traveled a lot and aren't keen on those long plane rides to get to far away destinations.

Hi Wayne Martin
See, you could offer to take your wife anywhere in the world without ever leaving the comfort of your home. Pull it up on the big screen smart TV and sit back and relax.

That sounds like a great place to look at to determine possible bucket locations.
And you are so right, Sedona is beautiful.

HI Carol Williams - You know that I know exactly where you took that pic on Schnebly Hills Rd in Sedona. Not so sure it is very manageable right now.
I have been up and down all the lakes and Colorado River by boat from the Lake Powell to Grand Canyon to Parker but I still need to see more of southern AZ and NE AZ. Lots still to explore!!

Hi Kathy Streib
Yes, great for people to travel without leaving the comfort of their own home or for checking out places for possible future travel.

Hi Sheri Sperry - MCNE®
It's one of my favorite pictures that I have ever taken in the Sedona area. I was on one of those Pink Jeep tours that day. Another was the Chapel of the Holy Cross. I'll have to dig that one out. Not sure where I have it filed.

I had my husband change our TV "on channel" from basketball to Hawaii scenery. That's made a big difference. Now, instead of assualting my senses when I turn on the TV, I get sucked into watching flowers bloom in peaceful green valleys.
And then I discover I have nothing taped on the DVR and hit Netflix. I can watch old Twilight Zones forever.

Hi Elizabeth Weintraub Sacramento Real Estate Agent, Top 1% of Lyon Agents
Hawaii scenery sounds way more tranquil than basketball. Sometimes I put mine on an ocean scene with the ocean sounds. The beach is my happy place.
