Downtown Denver is increasingly renowned for its nightlife. Summers are particularly exciting with Coors Field drawing thousands of baseball fans, attractive live music events happening all over town, festivals and gatherings of all shapes and sizes. Closing time on the weekends can be especially rowdy as the bars let out and its best to catch an Uber or Lyft home. For many young professionals, artists, out-of-state visitors, and dance-enthusiasts, downtown Denver presents a variety of party-oriented nightlife options.

As you move out from the city center, there are many quieter neighborhoods and areas surrounding Denver where nightlife is frankly, less of an emphasis. Littleton, Colorado, just south of Denver, is one of these communities. Littleton is more laidback than the downtown scene and conducive to a more casual lifestyle. Rather than rowdy nightlife, Littleton is a great place to enjoy happy hour with colleagues or an early dinner with the family. The downtown area of Littleton is an eclectic collection of fun bars, fresh eateries, spas, walking trails and well-known staples. This is a mature and intimate cultural center that has its own flavor and atmosphere independent of nearby Denver. There are many unique neighborhoods to choose from.

Littleton is near to the foothills, mountains and wilderness areas of Colorado. The town comes well-appointed with a network of bike trails winding through subdivisions with names like Ken Caryl, Southglenn, Chatfield, Aberdeen Village, Bow Mar and Highlands Ranch. Newer developments include the retail shopping at Aspen Grove, live music at Hudson Gardens, and the massive Sterling Ranch development to the south. Owning a home in Littleton provides easy access to downtown Denver and the Denver Tech Center.

The commute downtown is less than 30 minutes from most of Littleton. There is a light-rail train running through Littleton which delivers commuters directly into the middle of town. With the tech center also nearby, Littleton is ideal for families where one or both parents are commuting into the commercial areas of Denver. There are also several large companies with operations right in Littleton including Comcast and Lockheed Martin.

The housing market in Littleton is quite healthy and home values have steadily risen over the last decade. In many areas there is no HOA payment necessary. If there are HOA fees they tend to be more affordable with attendant amenities. Generally, there is a lot of value in Littleton and you can get more house for your money. Including Valor Christian High in Highlands Ranch There are many things for the whole family to enjoy including outdoor activities, several golf courses, arts and crafts, team sports, parks, greenbelts, breweries, distilleries, museums, galleries, and more.

Low in crime, and high on leisure, Littleton is a great place for families, young professionals, and older people of retirement age. Littleton is relatively large by area, spans multiple counties, and is composed of several zip codes. Like Colorado in general, this town promotes a healthy lifestyle with plenty of enjoyment of the great outdoors. There are various places for hiking, biking, boating and several ski resorts nearby. There are many options for gyms, spas, gourmet restaurants and lively bars. Littleton is more of a happy hour town than a stay-up-all-night party town. Hi Dorte Engel, I've done a lot of hiking and biking around Littleton, and boating on Chatfield Reservoir. I'm not a golfer but definitely appreciate an occasional happy hour! I also enjoy sharing my knowledge of Littleton with prospective buyers.
