For ages, Delaware recognized February 12 as Abraham Lincoln’s birthday. Then came “Monday holidays” to make three-day weekends for travel, convenience and a boost to the economy. Then in 1989, state lawmakers blended Lincoln’s first Monday with Washington’s third Monday birthdays and renamed the February’s third Monday “President’s Day.” Federally, it’s still “Washington’s Birthday.” Now, does that really seem fair to Abe… Honestly?
