Thank You for Answering, I Heard You

I asked a question on here a couple weeks ago about whether realtors saw koi ponds as an added value or not. It got removed because someone who was helping me turned the sincere question into something that felt (and was) salesy and inauthentic, and I would like to apologize for having that be my first introductions to many of you.  I still got to read through the answers, though, and was surprised by how many said it was seen as a bane.

I understand that the more unusual a feature is, the more personal it is. I love koi and my family have dedicated our life to it because we see not only the beauty and art, but also theraputic qualities. We joined Active Rain because I thought it was a unique way to educate people about koi, and help answer questions. Realtors are in a special postition as they not only help people find what they are looking for, but sometimes you help people fall in love with things they never knew about. I hope to help change your feelings when you have a house with a koi pond from thinking it's an obstacle as a realtor, to beig excited to share with your clients.

If you have any questions always feel free to ask!

I am sorry about your experience here in the question and answer section of AR.

I think they are beautiful.  I sold a home to a couple that later put in this feature because they love it.  It is beautiful.  They may be listing shortly.

That is great! I think many people see the maintence as daunting, but once it gets set up and you are familar with koi behavior, they are easy to care for and such a relaxing part of a home!
