That's what we are all looking for and expecting when pursuing what we want or when someone is pitching their wares, products or services i.e. does it make sense? This reason dynamic is invisible and always present and we usually without knowing bring it to the surface by inquiring or researching our curiosity. Is what is being said or represented reasonable? Profitable as in values exchanged?
THE OPPOSITE IS THE TRUE TEST
We have built-in within us to instantly identify what is NOT reasonable, ridiculous, far-fetched, doubtful & nonsensical & we not only say so but act it out in many cases with expressions & actions taken. Anything that taxes credibility & causes confusion & dissension is put down on by the populace thus it will fail.
This is how those that practice under-handedness, slight of hand and mouth and misleading positions get-around our common sense defenses. They use deception, bait and switch (sleight of hand) and double-talk which just keeps the gibberish going until it wears you down to get past your default common senses
That's why the public at large is pleased when they find a product, person or service is AS-REPRESENTED or promised. All of us know what products, services or people we find valuable and frequent them without a second thought. That's what keeps business thriving and people flocking to them. It is what it is....
CHALLENGING THE UNREASONABLE
Very easy to do if you leave thinking, emotions and prejudice out of it. We have the ability to simply inquire, ask, seek-out and even explore (a form of testing) and if what we are seeing is made clearer, then we can proceed or pull-out as we please. Many don't like this step for the following reasons...
1. Some people are afraid of the challenge (growth) or see it as confrontational.
2. Some fear being worn down to where they give-in
3. Many have been wounded and are so guarded that they throw babies and bath water out the window!
QUESTIONS REVEAL ALL
I have never known questions to fail. How, why, who, what, where and when just produce so well when wielded by the inquisitor and call to account what is being inquired about. If one doesn't doubt what they are doing, the less than honorable or deceptive practice will fail, collapse and reveal itself. Don't doubt this!
WATCH FOR THIS TACTIC
Anything that prods you along with a deadline, something that wants you to waive your time, invokes high pressure and calls upon you for action without satisfaction is suspect. This concept is worth mentioning. They have taken your greed, vanity, curiosity and lust and have satisfied it by offering low risk items that function and appeal and should something go wrong after-wards ones own common sense kicks in that says "I only lost a $1.00. We learn that the "burn" is reduced according to price
HIGH or MIDDLE END
These categories while aggressive at times and alluring come with built-in safety factors for the consumer that puts their common sense at ease and allows for a pleasant and safe exchange or inquiry with a probable sale. Warranties, 30 day returns, 3-day right of rescission's, refunds, statute of limitations and established public arenas where you see lots of people coming and going over time puts everyone at ease.
Here we have it all out in front and with a plea and instruction for the consumer, client or purchaser to do their own inquiry based on their own satisfaction and needs. The offeror puts in on YOU! Caveat Emptor or let the buyer beware is similar to "sold as-is" meaning the buyer assumes all risk.
PROTECT YOUR CAPACITY
We all have the ability to sort out, reason and assess to our satisfactions. Of course children, the elderly and the uniformed remain vulnerable and family, friends and good Samaritan's as well as decent, honest people have to lend a hand at times.
