YouTube Thursdays - Updated code to help with those pesky video suggestions.
Many of you are frustrated with YouTube's continual updates. One that bugs most of us is the inability to get rid of video suggestions ( from others channels) at the end of our videos.
Recently, I (Debb) found an update to the code ?rel=0 that stopped working. Here is a link to the original video tutorial about where you add the code in your embeds. It works the same, but now you add additional code.
You'll still see video suggestions, but they will be from your own channel - providing you have more than one video. You can scroll ahead to the end of this short video to see an example.
Here's how to do it. This the embed code for this video in YouTube. Note, the URL of your video is a series of letters and numbers. It's circled to make it easy to find.
Above you'll see the new embed code to use. You'll add after the video URL.
Here's how it looks. Also, note the change the video size to better fill our blog posts.
It works, at least for now.
Much like Anita Clark 's Facebook Fridays, we encourage you to subscribe to each other's YouTube Channels - and take a minute to "like" or leave a comment. You can also add your own YouTube Channel in the comments below, and ask for subscribers. Be sure to subscribe back though - it's quid pro quo!
