Love is in the Air: Three transactions later…
There are some clients who are kind and gracious, hence as Realtors we need to cherish the times and the interaction with them, since they are not the norm. (at least in my market)
In the high stress, produce, prosper and succeed or else business environment, in the greater Los Angeles area, real estate transactions are often the secondary and not the primary focus for buyers. Hence not all clients are kind and gracious, mostly because they are already stressed out about their work load. Then to add the high stress of a real estate transaction to their plate can be overwhelming.
Now, let me tell you about these great clients and their story. About fourteen years ago, I received a call on one of my vacant lots from a potential buyer, we met and looked at the land, this in turn created a more detailed discussion and the search went for better quality lots in Bel Air, CA 90077. My client was working in the background, but never the less in a very high-profile position in the Entertainment Industry.
After I understood his work routine from an hourly, daily, weekly and monthly perspective. Then add to that his family routine, I suggested that he should not take on the time consuming and difficult building approval process in the greater Los Angeles area, that vacant land entails. Many agents would have just sold them the land, I talked him out of buying land. He appreciated my good advice and genuine caring for his needs and situation.
Hence, we started searching for a home that was family friendly in a good school district. Now we had a fun but full-time weekend only project of finding the right home. We went from appointment to appointment, Open House to Open House and their little boy at times did not want to leave a certain house, because he loved it. Anyway, you get the idea…
We did manage to find the right house, fast forward to about six years ago they were ready to upgrade to a larger home. We ended up first buying the newer larger home and then sold their existing home after it. On a side note they told me this is going to be their “forever home” and I am confident that, indeed it will be the case in their situation. Just to give you an idea the view from their back yard with the pool is incredible and they can see ultra-luxury homes across the canyon, as they are looking down at those homes.
It was so refreshing to have gracious, kind and loyal clients who were straight forward and no drama not just the first time, but the second as well as the third time.
This post is being submitted for Lisa Von Domek Active Rain Challenge to celebrate the month of February and share “love is in the air” type sales transactions we participated in.
