Accountability for your Real Estate Virtual Assistant: Using Time Management Software and other Tips.

One major issue many of our clients have before they sign-up with us is ensuring that their Real Estate Virtual Assistant is genuinely making good use of their time on the clock. We understand how that can be a concern. We realize that having someone work for you who is not only not in the office with you physically but pretty much half-way across the world can raise questions and concerns about how they make use of their time.

Trust is great, and all but taking a few extra measures to give you peace of mind is not a bad thing either. Through the past 11 years of experience we’ve gained, we have come up with a few strategies and even systems that puts this concern to bed.

Here are some tips and strategies to keeping your real estate Virtual assistant accountable for their time.

  1. Daily Huddles and Weekly Meetings. In the morning before everyone’s day starts, having a morning huddle is a great way to keep your team synergized and aware of what everyone is doing, especially for you as the leader and business owner. A quick 10-15 minute meeting will do; an online call where each team member tells you what they have on their to-do list for the day where they can communicate any requests from other members of the team, ask for updates on ongoing projects, etc. You should also have a more protracted meeting at the end or beginning of every work week to discuss how each team member did, talk about any wins and/or roadblocks they may have. These interactions not only help you keep apprised of how everyone is doing but allows you to strengthen relationships with your team members, especially with your Virtual Assistant. The occasional 1:1 would also be great to add in your calendar, perhaps for a monthly review or even just a chat session about how they are doing personally and professionally.
