The Carlsbad Annual Pirate Plunge

It’s a blustery, rainy, winter day in Carlsbad, and perhaps a little difficult to think about a big swim event in just a few weeks.
But things will change!
The Alga Norte Aquatic Center in the La Costa area of Carlsbad is hosting the annual Pirate Plunge on Saturday March 23rd from 5 – 9 pm, just a few days after the first day of Spring.
PIRATE PLUNGE ACTIVITIES
Kids will get to enjoy a range of pirate-themed activities in the pool (e.g., Hook It, Cannon Ball Crush, Diving for Treasure), some floating obstacles, a treasure hunt on land, a pirate ship slide, a bounce house, and plenty of photo opportunities.
There’s also a Splash Pad for the younger children.
And to complete this fun event, starting at dusk there will be a popular outdoor movie on the big screen, “Peter Pan (1953).”
PIRATE PLUNGE COST & WRISTBANDS
Admission and wristbands are $10 per person, with kids 3 or under free. Don’t forget the maximum number of attendees is 600 so get your wristbands early - this is a popular activity. Wristbands may be picked up in person at the Aquatics Center during normal business hours now through March 23rd.
