Nice furniture, no place to put it -- how 'bout a mansion?

Nice furniture, no place to put it -- how 'bout a mansion?

Nice furniture can get you a lot more than compliments -- it can put you in a mansion for the cost of a luxury two-bedroom apartment in Brentwood.

There's a catch though. You've got to be willing to move on short notice.

Nashville-based Showhomes, a national home-staging company, finds people to live in vacant mansions so they show better and sell faster. Given the declining real estate market, mansions and other homes are difficult to sell, the company says in a release.

Showhomes, which has 29 locations in 19 states is recruiting people with great furniture to help stage vacant homes. The home-owner gets a fully staged home at a fraction of the cost and the temporary resident gets a prestigious address -- even if it's just for a while.

That is interesting- hadn't heard of it before. This would be great for a summer if you could live in a great house with a pool!

As long as Home Managers stay in the system, we pay for all or most of the move from one Showhome to the next. Having a Home Manager makes a huge difference in the salability of the home and that's why its been so popular for so long.
