It is my professional opinion we will continue to see an increase in pricing in the Bakers Bay Gated Waterfront Community. It has not only become a desirable community for Baby Boomers but also for some Generation X's as well. Where can you find Country Club Maintenance Free Community living like this on the waterfront at these prices? Indoor and outdoor pools a community center with planned events and trips. Gym and tennis courts with a wonderful group of people that become like family. The staff also treats the residents like family.
When agents that are not local list these units how they cannot know what development or subdivision they have listed always befuddled me as there is a sign as you enter the complex that says Bakers Bay. So why they do not list it in the proper section when listing it in the Bright MLS I often wonder how many sellers have taken advantage of free market analysis of value offered by a local agent
Did I forget to mention Bakers Bay is a gated waterfront community? There is a guardhouse as you enter the community with a guard on duty 24/7. There is no entry into this community if you are not a resident without permission. Even with permission, the guard will take your car license number and the unit number you are visiting. It is very nice to live in a securely gated community with a guard on duty 24 hours a day. Some residents think this is not enforced, I can ensure them it is.
There are many days I receive calls from people who just want to take a ride through the community and want my assistance to get them in. I do inform them they need an appointment.
