Which Platforms Should You Advertise On?

Real Estate Technology with Zurple

The way big online companies make their money from their user base is through advertising! You can watch YouTube for free. You can use Facebook for free. Twitter is free too! The way those platforms can sustain themselves is by offering companies advertisment opportunities to reach their userbase. Which of these companies are worth the investment?

Search Engines

Search engines are the most common way a prospect looking for listings in your area will find your website, so it makes sense to invest in this avenue. There can be a lot of competition, so you can increase your success by highlighting a niche within your market. "Dallas Homes for Sale" will have you competing with larger websites, brokerages, and MLSes...while "Dallas High Rise Condos" will allow you to separate yourself from the competition and find a more specific clientele.

Everybody is on Facebook. With Facebook's advanced targetting options, it is easy to craft ads that will cater to people within a specified demographic and area. If you know what you are doing, you can leverage Facebook ads to generate buyer AND seller leads.

Twitter can be an enigma to some. There are still plenty of people that use Twitter today, and you can get your content in front of them. Twitter in general can be more successful if you follow accounts within a similar genre or area.

LinkedIn ads can be highly effective if you are targetting a certain industry or client base. For example, if you are looking to work with military personal or medical professionals then LinkedIn is what you want to use.

Many people use pinterest to look up DIY crafts, particularly for weddings and baby showers. These life-changing events can signal a home purchase on the horizon. Use Pinterest to target these prospective home buyers.
