SPRING IS HERE! The poppies are blooming all over!

Mt Graham, the mountain that dominates our landscape is still snow-capped, but the washes are running as the snow melts. The roses are starting to leaf out and some spring flowers are blooming like crazy. If you want to see poppies and other flowers covering the desert, now is the time to come and see. We had more rain than usual and for a desert area, that means a riot of flowers. Many hills are tinted gold due to the flower coverage and it is beautiful to see. One great thing about our area is our climate. We do have four seasons but winter is generally mild and summers aren't as hot as the Phoenix area. Spring and fall allow us to turn off our HVAC systems and enjoy clear fresh air. This kind of climate leads to generally low utility costs compared with other areas of the state. The average price of a home is around $150,000 which makes it affordable as well.
