The Gettysburg area is home to close to 10,000 residents and is very rich in history, as it was the site of perhaps the most well known and significant battle of the Civil War in early July of 1863. According to the USDA Eligibilty Maps, all of Gettysburg is zoned as eligible for the USDA Loan Program.
You May Not Need Money At Closing
Buying a home with the USDA Loan Program often allows home buyers to need no money at all for closing. Unlike most mortgage programs, USDA loans allows closing costs to be financed into the loan amount, as long as the appraised value supports any needed loan amount. The USDA Loan Program also allows the seller to pay up to 6% of the sales price towards the buyer's closing costs. These two options or a combination of these two options often enables buyer to come to the closing table without bring a check.
