"Shoes off when showing" is the kind thing to do!

My closet is full of slip on shoes and zip up boots for showing appointments on the Oregon coast. The weather is wet with footprints aplenty in the listed homes, especially if shoes are not removed at the door before showing.

Now, there is a NICE pair of slip ons!

Dear Barbara,

This is not just a good idea, when showing homes. If you get into the habit in your own home, your floors will stay clean and nice for much longer. As busy Realtors, we need all the household help we can get.

Hi Barbara,  Thanks for the clever reminder.  Taking off your shoes when viewing a home really is the polite thing to do.

Taking off your shoes when visiting/viewing a home also reflects that you are being considerate to the property and/or owner. Save some time for the owner or caretaker if you know your shoes are dusty or dirty.

Hello Barbara - when common courtesy is not present, a clever sign is certainly appreciated.

Good morning Barbara. This is a great post. When I was actively showing. I hated this unless it was published in the listing. Eventually there were booties.

Ha!  Love that sign.  I could have used that on a listing not long ago.  Beautiful wood floors that caught the morning sunlight...and footprints.
