Commissions used to be split and I don't see that in Sacramento anymore, not among many of the top producers anyway.
In my world, the listing agents get paid more than the buyer's agents. And I would like to see listing agents not have to compensate buyer's agents at all, such a barbaric method. Buyer's agents should be paid by their buyers. Buyers would also be a lot more selective if they had to actually pay an agent for representation.
