Minot sized pot holesOver the last few days the snow has relinquished it's 6 month hold on Minot's Streets ( I wish I could say that was true for the rest of the landscape that is still buried at least two to six feet under) and revealed it's annual yield of pot holes.

Some are quite sizable and I'm sure are keeping automotive centers that do wheel alignments busy.

With only a few days of temps above freezing (and barely above freezing at that) it's to soon to get the City street repair crews out there to fill them in.

So be careful when your driving and also think about that car behind you before you slam on the breaks or the car next to you when you swerve to miss one of these creators. We don't need to give the repair shops to much work after they have had a banner winter I'm sure.

The websites and the artists for the pic above can be found here. Check it out, they, David Luciano and Claudia Ficca, has several creative photos on display. Claudia's website is here.

Loved your photos, now with that said, we pay a lot of taxes here in the Golden State but no one meaning politicians think of fixing the pot holes... but they do love our tax dollars that they take vacations on to Hawaii and all over the Globe:)Endre

Endre Barath, Jr. it's amazing to me how these "do nothing" politicians keep getting re-elected. If you liked that photo you should click on the 1st link in the last paragraph.

Good point Barbara Todaro , if you don't pay attention you could end up with a costly repair bill.

I'm always a bit envious of people who can be this inventive... mostly because I am not.

Good morning Bob. I too like this photo. It is true here as well. Maybe the potholes will be fixed but I'm not counting on it.

I suspect the harsh winter that hit many areas of the country will find pot holes a hazard as we dig out.  We didn't get snow in Sacramento, but had plenty of rain.  I'm noticing the condition of our roads is crying for attention.

I remember potholes, Bob, and I don't miss them a bit. They could not fill them in as fast as they popped up...spring is right around the corner so hopefully you are due for a thaw and some repairs to the roads.

We get pot holes every year here Myrl Jeffcoat thanks to the freezing and thawing. It would be great if someone could come up with a fill that would stay put.

I do hate pot holes and have had numerous cars become the victum of them in the past.  No too common down here, however, there is one close to where I live that I am always avoiding!
