Staging tip - always, always have a spotless bathroom when showing your house. (That means remove your toothbrush and all personal items from view. Shoving them under the sink is acceptable!) Remove your scale, your garbage cans and especially your plunger just before leaving the house for a showing. I even recommend clearing your shower of all soaps, shampoos, etc. Potential buyers don't like looking at your toiletries. It is harder for them to imagine themselves using your bathroom - because there is evidence that you just used it. Imagine looking at a hotel room online and there were dirty towels, a full garbage can and used toothbrushes on the counter. Would you book that hotel? Heck no! And the same applies for potential buyers. They are looking for a clean and inviting bathroom, just like you would see on a hotel website.
Clean and shine your bathroom. Especially your mirrors and faucets. Wipe your baseboards and doors. Make sure it smells nice and fresh. And then, add some flowers, a trendy shower curtain, and fresh, new towels to create a spa like feel. Remove your used bath rugs. You may add one new, fresh white rug if the space isn't too small. Staging will help you sell your home in less time for more money.
