City of Charlotte/Mecklenburg County Launch 311 CHAT Feature
If you've lived in Charlotte-Mecklenburg for any length of time you already know you can reach various city/county departments by phone by dialing 311. CharMeck 311 serves as the customer contact center providing information and services for customers in the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. But did you know that as of March 4th, 2019, you can now access the new CHAT feature on the 311 website from either your computer or your mobile device? Representatives will be available to answer questions from 7:00 am till 7:00 pm, Mondays through Fridays.
Note: the new 311 CHAT feature can't be used for service requests related to water or waste water. ou will still need to call 311 or 704-336-7600 to turn water services on or off, to pay bills, ask questions, report emergencies or leaks.
