Think Thin Thursday ~ Closed Today Due to the Flu

By
Real Estate Agent with Florida Supreme Realty SL514814

I'm actually the caregiver in this round and have the better half fighting through the aches and pains of the flu while trying avoid its wrath. I've had my flu shots while she hasn't and think that might be what's helping me stave off what was once thought to be inevitable.

Good morning, Kevin - is it the luck(likely bad) of the draw when it comes to getting the flu?  I don't know.  I am not a physician nor do I play one in movies or on television.  Be well.

Having the flu is no fun at all, but isn't it also the bodies natural way of detoxifying?

Kevin,

Neither one of us has ever had flu shots.  We are both very healthy and the flu stays away from us.  Glad you are taking care of the better half. A

Have alternated on flu shots, having had cancer my doctor often suggests i get a flu shot, all depends on what I read about the flu and how good this years vaccine is in relation to the strain of flu going around. Hope the better half feels better quickly.

Hi Kevin- I hope your better half is on the mend. Having had the flu a few times, I'll remind you (I'm sure you know this) that even when you feel as if you're ready to get back into the swing of things, you're usually not. We do get our flu shots and so far so good. That said, we've both had colds this past week.

We faithfully get our flu shots every year. Seniors should not be taking the risk of going without protection.

I hope your better half recovers quickly.

Kevin J. May  This year's flu shot was great. It protected me anyway I just am just getting over a virus first (touch wood) all winter a first for me that is. I will say it was not as severe either. Could function and work just needed to nap. Feeling good as I told Carol Williams just dreading allergy season.

Feel better

We both get our flu shots. It's a bummer to be sick.  Hope she's on the mend by now.  D
