Spring Turf Treatments in Kentlands

Beginning Friday, March 29, 2019, weather permitting, the landscapers will begin spring turf treatments for fertilization and Broadleaf weed control. The organic and traditional treatments will take place simultaneously in their respective areas. Please check the back side of the yellow notices to see which application has been applied; organic applications will have a green dot. Residents should stay off the treated areas for one hour after application to allow the product to dry.
 
For out of the area readers, Kentlands is a planned community located within the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland.

It's that time of year alright!  I just came home from the store.  And, I noticed my Cara Cara Orange tree on the side of my driveway has buds all over it.  It will be in full bloom in a few days.

Public Hearing - City Code Ch. 5 "Buildings" & Ch. 7 "Electricity"PublicHearing
 
The Mayor and City Council will conduct a public hearing on the repeal and reenactment, with amendments, of two City Code Chapters. Chapter 5 has to do with Buildings while Chapter 7 deals with Electricity. The proposed modifications reflect updates to various sources to which the City refers for compliance, including the International Building Code, the International Residential Code, the Maryland Accessibility Code, the National Electrical Code, and more. Testimony can be delivered at the meeting on Monday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, or via e-mail to plancode@gaithersburgmd.gov prior to the closing of the record.
