Video games are quite possibly bigger now than they ever have been. It seems like these days, when kids aren't actively engaged in a video game, they seem to love watching OTHER kids play them.
It's true, there is an entire genre on youtube completely made-up of people screencasting themselves playing various video games. People LOVE watching this and listening to the rants the players go on and on with during their game play. Call me crazy but this doesn't seem the least bit entertaining to me. I suppose this is why I am not the target market!
With all of the recent days off of school and the summer months coming quickly, I started brainstorming ways to tear kids away from their beloved videogames while still letting them express their individual love for these games.
Do you have a kid who loves Mariokart? Have you tried getting them outside with giant cardboard boxes and a challenge of making their very own mariokarts?!
What about Fortnite? I am willing to bet your Fortnite loving kids will know exactly what this Slurp Juice Fortnite Slime is all about!
You can even create fun off-screen versions of games like Hello Neighbor! Just choose one person to be the "neighbor" and everyone else tries to avoid being caught!
Whatever creative activities you choose just remember that the point is to show your kids how much fun they can have when they use their own imagination!
