Inspiration for 3/26/19

WE CHOOSE TO GO TO THE MOON! WE CHOOSE TO GO
TO THE MOON... WE CHOOSE TO GO TO THE MOON
IN THIS DECADE AND DO THE OTHER THINGS, NOT
BECAUSE THEY ARE EASY, BUT BECAUSE THEY ARE
HARD; BECAUSE THAT GOAL WILL SERVE AND MEASURE
THE BEST OF OUR ENERGIES AND SKILLS, BECAUSE THAT
CHALLENGE IS ONE THAT WE ARE WILLING TO ACCEPT,
ONE WE ARE UNWILLING TO POSTPONE, AND ONE WE INTEND
TO WIN, AND THE OTHERS, TOO.

RECOMMENDATION
I am recommending the new movie released Appollo 11. There are no actors. This entire film is everything that happened when Neil Amstrong, Michael Collins, and Buzz Aldrin went to the Moon and landed on July 20, 1969. You will see what took place inside NASA, within the spaceship, photos of the moon, and all the personnel on the ground at NASA communicating with our Astronauts. You will get a feel for what the day was like when the rocket was launched into space and see the people that gathered to witness the event. They say politicians were invited but I didn't recognize them. I did recognize Johnny Carson, the late-night host of the Tonight Show. At the event, Johnny was not a comedian making political jokes. He was professionally dressed and he didn't get any more attention than others who were in attendance. It was interesting to see women in pink sunglasses and inside NASA space engineers in white short-sleeve shirts and skinny ties. There was no protesting. All Americans came together.
EFFORTS & COURAGE ARE NOT ENOUGH
WITHOUT PURPOSE AND DIRECTION

The photography is REAL. The sounds you will hear is what it sounded like at the Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, Florida on July 16, 1969. I am pretty sure everyone who was alive at the time remembers exactly where they were when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed and took their first steps on the moon on July 20, 1969.
IN A VERY REAL SENSE, IT WILL NOT BE ONE MAN GOING
TO THE MOON IT WILL BE AN ENTIRE NATION. FOR ALL
OF US MUST WORK TO PUT HIM THERE

HISTORY WAS BEING RECORDED
I can't say any other movie moved me the way this one was produced. Although I have seen footage on TV many times, the movie Apollo 11 is different. You don't see actors. You see the real event unfold before your very eyes. As recorded, President John F Kennedy pledged to the American people in 1961 "that a man would reach the moon by the end of the decade." Americans were being challenged. The war in Vietnam was going on. President Richard Nixon was in office. Americans came together. Unfortunately, not everyone is perfect. Nixon would later prove that. Senator Edward Kennedy wasn't at the event. He was involved in the Chappaquiddick incident on July 18, 1969, when Mary Jo Kopechne drowned. The Astronauts mission was a success. On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first men to set foot on the moon.
AS WE EXPRESS OUR GRATITUDE, WE MUST NEVER
FORGET THAT THE HIGHEST APPRECIATION IS
NOT TO UTTER WORDS, BUT TO LIVE BY THEM
