Facebook Marketing Trends in 2019

Social media is a great way to get lots of free traffic to your website or blog. Facebook is one of the best social media platforms to get involved in.

Facebook Has the Most Impressive Statistics

According to 2018 Facebook stats, about 2.23 billion people log into their accounts each month. Contrary to those who say Facebook is dying and that Instagram rules, the truth is that Instagram has less than half the visitors as Facebook.

Facebook Provides Many Marketing Opportunities

Facebook is full of marketing opportunities. Consider the following Facebook marketing opportunities when putting your marketing plan together.

  • Your Business Page

Create a detailed business page including tons of information about your business as well as content relating to your niche. A great page on Facebook gives you the chance to be discovered and to gain followers. The more followers you have, the more people will see your content, and hopefully, like and share it.

  • Give Your Posts a Boost

Your posts should be useful and link to your content at your blog. Facebook allows you to turn posts into ads as well. See which of your posts have received the most engagement, and boost them.

  • Use Facebook Messenger

Facebook Messenger has grown in popularity over the last year or so. It’s a convenient way for people to quickly connect with you. And, yes, there’s an app for that. Facebook Messenger also includes a way to set up a chatbot.

Chatbots are like an autoresponder in an email. Someone sends a message and they get a reply back. With chatbots, you set trigger words and then a reply to the person that is likely to fit the topic of the trigger word. It’s a way to automate customer service and marketing and can save a good deal of time if you set it up correctly.

  • Closed Facebook Groups

Create a closed group about your niche or business, and invite people to join. You may also choose to offer it as a customer bonus when they become a client.

  • Don’t Overlook Remarketing

Remarketing allows you to tag a visitor to a product page at your site. Whether they buy or not, the tag can trigger ads to appear to them for that item for the next 30 days. The tag is called a pixel. It can be created in your Facebook Ads Manager.

You more than likely you already have a Facebook business page. Use these Facebook marketing trends to boost your following and promote your business, products, and services.

Pamela I haven't been on Facebook that much this year. I can get on there and be on the for many hours. Had to get off. It didn't allow me to be productive.

Lanre-"THE REAL ESTATE FARMER" Folayan - That's easy to do. Maybe it would help you minimize your time if you set aside 10 - 15 minutes a day to just focus on your business.

Facebook...a blessing or a curse! Depends on the day, right?

With the recent HUD ruling, I've not placed any specific ads other than what I'm doing through Home Value Leads. We shall see how hard it is in the future.

Now, if someone could give me the magic sauce to get more people to like my Business Page.

Thom Abbott - Here's one idea to get people to like your business page...Find your current and past clients on Facebook and send them a personal message to like your page. They already know you and will be more likely to do it. Good luck.

Thanks, Pamela for sharing the latest trends. It can be a challenge to keep up with how quickly things change.  I understand the ability to target ads by certain demographics was recently implemented in a way that negatively impacts realtors. I'm curious as to what you think about that?

Matthew Klinowski, PA - I wish I had an answer for you. I'll look into it.

I have had NO luck with boosting my posts on Facebook or on Google Ads.  Just reporting...  If $6,000 does not get a single inquiry...hmmm... am I doing something wrong or is there just too much competitive content out there??

Mar 30, 2019 04:55 PM
Pamela Cendejas

John Henry - WOW! Are you saying you spent $6,000 on Facebook and Google Ads? I'd have to see how your ads were promoted. That sounds like an awful lot of money to not be getting results.

Hi Pamela. First off, can you recommend someone to build a chatbot? I would like to have one on my facebook page and website. Second, you mention boosting posts, Everything that I have read from digital marketers says not to boost the post but run an ad instead. Any thoughts on this? I am currently running a video of myself that I did sitting in my car. I am running this in a new area trying to create some brand awareness. Unfortunately, it is not faring well.

Pamela Cendejas

Chuck Tanner - Facebook has a chatbot that's pretty simple to set up. There are companies you can find on Google who set them up on your website. Unfortunately, I can't make any recommendations.

Plus, you can now post on both FB and Insta with one click.. convenience pur. I see value in both and although I don't have a huge following, have seen success from it. I love to utilize it for listings and to show my sellers "see what else I've done to market your home".
