Home buyers are out in force and interest rates have remained low, piquing the interest of buyers previously on the fence about making a move.
According to a recent, exhaustive study by Realtor.com, listing your home in the first week of April generates 14 times more property views, 5% less competition from other home sellers, resulting in homes selling 6 days (9%) faster. Homes listed in April also see nearly 6% higher prices ($17,000 more for the typical listing), and are 1% less likely to have a price drop. It's noteworthy that 29 of the top 50 largest U.S. metros have their peak listing dates in the month of April.
If you’re seriously considering selling your home this year, the time to list is NOW! According to the National Association of Realtors, 41% of the homes sold last month were on the market for less than 30 days! If you list now, your home will enjoy maximum exposure to serious buyers and you stand a good chance to sell in April or May.
